You are not alone.
A space for healing from miscarriage, stillbirth, or early infant death.
If miscarriage, stillbirth, or early infant death is a part of your story, Women of Valor is designed to be a support system to come alongside you in your grief journey in a way that fits your needs.
Whether you need someone to be there for a doctor’s appointment, someone to talk to before, during, or after a loss, or a group setting to meet with others who have also experienced loss, Women of Valor can help.
We recognize that each loss and each recovery process is unique, and so we are able to tailor the support to what would be most helpful to you. Sharon, our facilitator, has met 1:1 with clients for mentoring or study, a group book study, or just individual support as needed.
Our Facilitator
Our facilitator, Sharon Hines, has a heart for caring for women who have experienced loss as she has experienced her own loss and walked through the grieving process in 2012.
Sharon is available to meet over coffee or to facilitate a group of no more than 8 women for the study. If you would like more information, please fill out the contact us form and we will be in touch.

In short, it doesn’t have to be. In your initial conversation, Sharon will ask about your faith or how you are feeling about faith as it relates to your loss and whether or not you would like to incorporate it into your meetings. You can always adjust to talk about it more or less.

There are a number of organizations in our area to help with grief and the grieving process. Women of Valor is different in that it can be completely tailored to your needs and can answer your questions in a faith-conscious way if that is what you are seeking. It can be difficult to find God in loss and to wrestle with the questions that naturally arise when a child dies. Sharon is passionate about providing comfort in a way that is helpful for you.
“I lost my daughter Alyson during labor in July 2012. She was a full-term, beautiful little girl with no heartbeat. My family and I were completely blindsided by the loss, and we were devastated. My life got thrown upside down, as I didn’t know how to process my grief, how to keep parenting my two older children, or how to keep believing in a God who would allow this to happen. I was so blessed to be held up by believers in my church and my community. But what I was so desperate for was a faith-based support network of other moms who had lost their babies. I needed to be around other women who were asking the same hard questions I was, and who were looking to see God’s goodness in our brokenness. Women of Valor has been such a gift to me in this way. To share our stories and lean on each other is an amazing picture of the body of Christ at work.”
