Roles with Patient Interaction

Parent Mentor

For our pregnancy clients who decide to parent, we offer a program called Parenting Success. Our clients are paired with a parent mentor who will walk with them through a six-week parenting curriculum and the client will earn items to care for baby when baby arrives. There is a need for both mom and dad mentors.

Qualifications:

  • You have been a parent for 2+ years
  • Daytime availability
  • Basic computer skills
  • Mature walk with the Lord
  • Requires an interview, background check, and additional training

Successful Families is a program for moms, dads, and caregivers of infants through toddlers that provides a place of community, education, and resources while encouraging and supporting them. Successful Families meets at The Crossing Church on the 2nd Monday night of each month.

Qualifications:

  • Monday evening availability
  • A heart for serving moms and dads and their children
  • CPR/first aid training is a plus
  • Various roles available ranging from setup/cleanup to childcare and facilitating groups
  • Requires interview and background check

 

Greet people as they come into our center, build patient files, check patients in on computer, communicate wait time and process to clients, do light admin work, answer phone and transfer calls.

Qualifications:

  • 4 hours/week

  • Friendly, warm, non-judgmental

  • Organized, administratively proficient

  • Requires interview, background check, and additional training

  • Requires at least a 3 month commitment

Roles Without Patient Interaction

Church Liason

Help with communications between Alpha Center and your church’s pastoral staff, help with facilitating the baby bottle fundraiser, promote Thrive curriculum to the youth and young adult ministries, communicate Alpha Center news, needs, and events.

Communicate the heart of our ministry to your friends, family, and neighbors. Have Alpha Center materials to share when appropriate (will require training)

Help with various office tasks, preparing baby bottles for churches and emptying baby bottles when campaigns are complete. 

Help with Fundraising events (golf tournament and gala) and outreach deliveries to churches, local schools and other local organizations we partner with.  

Prayer for our clinic, clients, and staff.

Diaper Drive or Baby Shower

Organize a Diaper drive or baby shower to benefit Alpha Center clients. Contact Angela for more information.

We use volunteers at our Golf Tournament (Spring) and Fundraising Gala (Fall) and greatly appreciate the help of volunteers for these events!

  • Facility Maintenance

  • Spring/Fall landscaping and cleanup

Many restaurants will host fundraising dinners with a percentage of the proceeds going back to the nonprofit being supported. This is the perfect opportunity to share your passion for Alpha Center with friends!

Ready to get Involved?

  1.  Sign up for a tour and info session!
  2. After attending an information session, you will be asked to complete an application and area of interest survey.
  3. Interview, background check, and invitation for further training (if applicable)
